“Ask not what you can do for your country. Ask what’s for lunch.” – Orson Welles
Another good reason to travel is the chance to taste the food from different countries. With Singapore’s multicultural society, tons of food choices from different countries are readily available in this small city I call home. Food specialties varies from English, Chinese, Indian, Malay, Thai, Viet, Japanese, Korea, Russian, Italian, French, Spanish, German, Swedish, Turkish, American, Brazilian to many more which I cannot remember. Singaporeans are truly blessed when it comes to choice of food. We are talking about United Nation of Food lol.
Still, nothing beats tasting the food from the country of origin. Best if I can find a different version abroad. I’m no food connoisseur but in many occasion, the taste is always same same but different.
I would eat at places which the locals recommend while keeping a backup list of ‘must try’ places gathered from the recommendation of Food and Travel Blogs, Food and Travel Magazines or Food and Travel Channels. Just in case for some reason the places which the local recommends are out of the way or I’m short of time.
Below is a list of wonderful food which I have tasted during my travel. More will be added and updated so do check back for updates or simply subscribe to the blog
Travel safe always!! And I would love to hear from you too!
